Yongli: decide which mass moves—and which surface defines the job.
A long bed, a large plate and a heavy rotating part need different machine layouts. Start with support, handling and the datum before comparing Yongli's planer-milling, gantry and vertical-turning families.
Current manufacturer family pages and an original Qingdao government record reviewed 8 October 2026
Locate the defining surface first
- A long plane or guide surface
- Begin with the BXM20 / BXMQ20 planer-milling families. Mark the required plane, rail, shoulder and side surfaces. Agree whether the operation is planing, milling or another fitted process and which heads are actually supplied.
- A broad supported component with multiple features
- Assess the gantry route. The current catalogue distinguishes SGMC moving-gantry and LGMC T-ram structures from separate fixed/moving-beam families. The holder/head approach and support drawing matter as much as the nominal travel.
- A large rotating face and diameter
- Assess vertical turning. The current manufacturer range separates single-column, double-column and fixed-beam CNC vertical machines. Draw how the complete part is clamped, balanced, lifted and measured.
These are separate process and structural choices. A planer-milling attachment list cannot establish a gantry machining centre's tool-change functions, and a vertical-turning table cannot establish milling or live-tool capability unless it is specified on the selected build.
BXM20 and BXMQ20: family labels are the start of a specification
The current directory separates light, standard and heavy planer-milling ranges. Individual manufacturer pages distinguish BXM20 heavy and standard types, BXM20-9 and BXMQ20 variants, including a BXMQ20-1500 heavy-family page. Select the actual series and suffix before asking for capacity or a foundation drawing.
The supported blank
Provide length, width, height, total mass, support positions and clamp height. Show where the finished plane is measured after release. If the blank is a long casting, agree the support and stock-removal sequence needed for the required final geometry.
The fitted process
Name the surfaces to be planed, milled or ground, the tool/head orientation and any side-face access. Ask which heads and their drives are standard, optional or outside the quotation. “Planer-milling” does not establish that every process head is installed simultaneously.
Request the actual moving members, occupied table travel, gate and head clearance, load distribution and return/approach sequence. Separate cutting time from table/head movement, handling and inspection. Do not obtain the current build's dimensions by decoding the model number.
SGMC moving gantry: support the part and draw every tool approach
The manufacturer explicitly names SGMC as a moving-gantry structure and lists LGMC separately as a T-ram structure. Its wider catalogue also lists moving-beam and fixed-beam boring/milling families. Those labels identify different structures; they do not provide interchangeable axis, head or load limits.
- Fix the datum and support. Draw the blank and fixture, including support spacing, clamps, tallest obstruction and the furthest feature from the datum.
- Show the occupied cutting route. Include head/holder offsets, longest tool, deep-hole entry, approach and withdrawal. Ask for the gate, ram/head envelope and each relevant travel on the selected dimensional drawing.
- Define changes between operations. If the job needs a side head, angled attachment or different cutter, specify handling, clamping, probing and tool/head-change sequence. A family photograph cannot establish automatic attachment change.
What to request before comparing two gantry proposals
Obtain selected-build table/load-distribution data, axis and head drawings, spindle duty and interface, occupied magazine/tool limits, head offsets and any optional functions. Mark which finished surfaces need one setting and which may be reset. Compare the demonstrated feature and released datum relationships, with the actual support and temperature conditions, rather than multiplying travels into a guaranteed part volume.
Vertical turning: clamping and handling define the rotating envelope
Yongli's current catalogue shows C51 single-column machines and separate double-column and fixed-beam CNC vertical-turning groups. For a ring, disk or heavy body, send the full rotating assembly—not just the finished diameter. Include jaws, fixture, overhang, eccentric mass and the lifting route.
- Clearance
- Obtain actual table/chuck dimensions, maximum rotating envelope and height under the selected beam/head arrangement. Establish the occupied fixture and tool clearance during loading, turning and measurement.
- Duty
- State material, blank condition, roughing allowance and the largest interrupted or eccentric cut. Request the table speed/torque and workholding limits for that duty; a maximum diameter does not establish a cutting rate.
- Surface relationships
- Mark face, diameter, bore and datum relationships. If another process or a reset is needed, include it in the operation and inspection plan. Do not infer C-axis contouring, drilling or milling from a CNC suffix alone.
The machine is only part of a heavy-installation proposal
Building and utilities
Obtain the actual foundation, machine footprint, table/gantry overtravel, head and service-access drawings. Include lifting capacities, entry route, assembly requirements, power, coolant/chip handling and the destination's safety obligations. A static brochure photograph cannot resolve installation space.
Trial and handover
Freeze the material, support, stock-removal sequence, tools/heads and thermal conditions. Inspect released planes, guide surfaces or rotating datum relationships with the agreed instruments. Time setup, processing, changes, handling and inspection together; record rejects. Define geometric checks, software/parameter backups, training, spares and destination service responsibilities.
The company describes casting as well as heavy-machine manufacture. If a casting is included in your scope, identify whether the quotation covers the raw blank, heat treatment, machining and inspection, and which entity is responsible for each. This manufacturer statement does not establish the current capacity or quality of a particular supplied casting.
Identify the company—and retain the complete model suffix
The current manufacturer profile names 青岛永立重型机床制造有限公司. An original 13 June 2022 Qingdao human-resources notice includes that exact name as item 7 in a proposed enterprise skills-evaluation filing list. It is a dated identity reference, not a current filing approval, machine certificate or production audit.
The original directory addresses for BXM2030A, BXM2028C and BXM2030D remain available. The currently retrieved family descriptions do not establish their exact suffix-specific tables. Use a dated model sheet or nameplate when requesting any of these references; the shared former source link now identifies a different BXMQ20-1500 family page.
Confirm the legal manufacturer and seller on the quotation. Current staff, output, certificate validity and an overseas service promise require their own dated evidence; older website counters or historic certification names are not treated as current approval.
Send a process drawing and a handling drawing
Highlight the defining plane, guide surface or rotating datum. Add material and blank condition, full dimensions/mass, supports and clamps, stock removal, required heads/tools, batch/output target and inspection method. Include the building, lifting and utility constraints and installation country. For a BXM reference, attach the complete suffix and dated specification.
