DL-25M is the fixed-tool turning column of the manufacturer’s DL-25M/MH comparison. Its 12-position hydraulic turret supports a turning-tool plan; it is not the MH live-tooling turret. Start with the blank, jaw grip, turning faces/bores/threads and required support. Cross-holes or milling features may require a separate operation rather than an assumed driven-tool option on M.
The M column gives 520 mm bed swing and 310/520 mm shaft/disc turning diameter. Published turning lengths are 1000 or 1500 mm, with X travel 260 mm and length-specific Z travel 1040/1600 mm. Review jaw and saddle/tool interference and draw unsupported reach, tailstock and any rest; the 100 mm quill and 139 mm quill travel do not specify permissible support force.
The A2-8 spindle uses a listed 10-inch chuck, 87 mm bore, 3500 rpm speed entry and 15/18.5 kW motor pair without stated duties. The 74 mm bar-capacity claim requires a through-hole hydraulic chuck; the configuration chart instead lists a non-through-hole chuck as standard and through-hole chuck/cylinder as options. Settle the whole stock passage, liner and feeder rather than using bore diameter as bar capacity.
The table specifies box ways with 12/12 m/min X/Z rapids and optional linear guides for the 1000 build at 24/16; other page material describes linear guides generally. Obtain a length-specific build sheet and exact FANUC 0i-TF(5) Plus or Siemens 828D package. Rear-conveyor bodies are 5010 × 2020 × 2110 or 5200 × 2020 × 2110 mm with listed masses 7800/8300 kg. Trial the chosen grip/support and tools, inspect released dimensions and geometry, and add loading/service access to the installation drawing.
