Hotman Z850

Hotman Z850 is a vertical CNC grinder for internal, external, tapered and end-face work. Its manufacturer brochure describes an integrated bed-and-column arrangement, a gantry-supported grinding head and a hydrostatic rotary table. These construction details make it a different workholding choice from the GP32 shaft-profile grinder already listed for the builder.

The brochure shows an optional grinding-head B arrangement with zero and 22.5-degree positions. Separately, the control supplier documents a Z850 non-circular grinding configuration using Flexium 68+ and NUMgrind, a direct-drive rotary table, a six-station wheel magazine and in-process measurement. Those details describe that configuration and should not be assumed standard on every Z850 order.

For selection, provide a section drawing with bore steps, outside profiles, end faces and clamping surfaces, together with material condition and finish requirements. Confirm workpiece diameter, height, mass and wheel reach in the quotation: the available manufacturer capacity image has an inconsistent model label, so its numerical capacity values are not reproduced here. Specify circular or non-circular grinding and the required measuring package through RFQ.

Is every Z850 supplied with the NUM package?

No. The documented NUM configuration is identified separately. Confirm control, wheel magazine and measuring equipment in the quotation.
