Mazak VCN-460

This profile reviews the China VCN-460 L configuration. Its exact detail sheet gives 560 × 460 × 510 mm travel, a 900 × 460 mm table and 500 kg maximum uniformly distributed load. A 900 mm table does not establish 900 mm X travel or permission for every concentrated fixture. Draw the part, locating/clamping and farthest feature; confirm load distribution and holder access.

Table-to-spindle-end distance is 150–660 mm. Check the shortest tool at the lowest cut, the longest holder over the highest clamp and full withdrawal. The BT40 standard spindle runs to 12,000 rpm. Its motor is 18.5 kW at 10% ED and 11 kW continuously rated, with 119 Nm at 10% ED or 95.5 Nm at 25% ED. Request the torque/speed and duty curve for sustained roughing rather than treating peak figures as continuous capability.

The exact sheet gives 30 tool positions, Ø80 mm diameter with occupied neighbours or Ø125 mm without adjacent tools, 350 mm length from gauge line and 8 kg mass. Map complete holders and sister tools before counting capacity. The family lists SmoothEz and SmoothG alternatives, and super-spindle finishing options separately. Specify the selected control, probing, coolant and automatic-change package; a family feature list is not the delivered configuration.

The listed rapids are 42/42/42 m/min; SmoothEz body width/length is 2000 × 2729 mm with 2812 mm height and 4800 kg mass. Obtain installation/maintenance access and utilities separately. Trial the difficult low surface, deep hole and key released-part datum under agreed thermal and measurement conditions. The official Ningxia MTF2025 image is visibly marked VCN-460 L and is retained whole. A display at that factory does not prove every quoted serial unit’s manufacturing origin.
