Mazak VCN-600

This profile reviews the China VCN-600 L configuration. The detail sheet gives 1050 × 600 × 510 mm travel, a 1300 × 600 mm table and 1200 kg maximum uniformly distributed load. Include long-fixture overhang, clamps and complete mass distribution. More horizontal space does not add vertical reach: the nose window remains 150–660 mm, as on the smaller 460 L reference.

The standard BT40 spindle reaches 12,000 rpm. Motor ratings are 18.5 kW at 10% ED and 11 kW continuous, with 119 Nm at 10% ED or 95.5 Nm at 25% ED torque. Obtain the actual speed/duty curve, cooling and chip-removal arrangement for the intended sustained cut. The family describes an optional 18,000 rpm spindle and separate 60,000/80,000 rpm super-spindle packages. They are choices, not cumulative standard features or a universal finish guarantee.

The detail sheet lists 30 tools, Ø80 mm with occupied neighbours or Ø125 mm with adjacent tools absent, 350 mm length from gauge line and 8 kg mass. Specify complete holder assemblies and occupied positions. The family’s optional two-pallet reference has 1300 × 550 mm pallets at 800 kg maximum load and 17 s exchange time, different from the ordinary table’s dimensions and load. Confirm delivered compatibility, load definition, locating and cleaning before committing to a pallet route.

The sheet gives 42/42/42 m/min rapids, SmoothEz body width/length 2880 × 3094 mm, height 2817 mm and mass 6800 kg. Obtain full installed layout and the selected control/automation scope. Trial the distant datum, sustained roughing and repeat pallet seating or fine-finishing option with production fixtures and agreed inspection. Time accepted parts through loading, cutting and measurement together. The exact whole Ningxia event image is marked VCN-600 L; confirm manufacturing site for the offered serial unit.

Mazak China describes Ningxia Little Giant in Yinchuan as Mazak’s first high-precision CNC machine plant in China, with an engineering technology centre used for customer training and trial-cut verification. If an acceptance cut matters to the order, ask whether it can be run there on the quoted VCN-600 L build, with your fixture and inspection plan. Mazak’s pages do not say which Chinese plant builds each VCN-600; the model also appears in this directory under Mazak’s Liaoning company in Dalian, so ask for the building plant to be written into the offer.
