SMTCL CAK5085

CAK5085 is the CAK50-85 turning reference in the current Chinese catalogue. It lists maximum part length 890 mm and cutting length 850 mm. Use the latter for required turning reach, then add chuck grip, centre/support and tool approach to a complete setup drawing; neither length proves that every 890 mm blank can be finished in one grip.

Bed swing is 500 mm, slide swing 300 mm and maximum cutting diameter 500 mm. The technical column lists an A2-8 nose, 250 mm chuck and 78 mm bore. The configuration chart contains alternative bore/drive combinations, so identify the quoted spindle and actual through-spindle stock restriction. Bore diameter alone is not approved bar-feeder capacity or safe rotating-bar length.

The listed standard reference uses a vertical four-position toolpost, 25 × 25 mm external tool shanks and 7.5 kW rated main servo motor. Three drive/speed references appear: electric three-step 15–2200 rpm, manual stepless 22–1800 rpm and manual three-step/12-grade 40–1800 rpm. These are alternatives to settle, not one combined range. A separate S-series motor row is not the standard 85 motor.

Tailstock quill diameter/travel are 75/150 mm and X/Z rapids 6/12 m/min. The listed body is 2770 × 1700 × 1735 mm at 2800 kg; allow loading, service and chip handling access separately. Trial the interfering jaw/tool setup and intended support, then inspect released diameter, threads, roundness and straightness under agreed conditions.
