Dongbu VTC80 is a vertical CNC turning machine for relatively wide, short rotational parts such as discs, wheels, sleeves and pump or motor components. The published turning limit is 800 mm diameter and 650 mm machining height. Its 900 mm swing is a clearance dimension and should not be treated as the maximum cutting diameter.
The spindle uses an A2-15 nose and a 21-inch hydraulic non-through-hole chuck. The listed spindle range is 50–1200 rpm, with a 22 kW motor and 800 N·m torque. Roller linear guides carry the feed axes. In the standard five-station vertical-turret configuration, X and Z travels are 445 and 650 mm, with 25 m/min rapid traverse on both axes.
The catalog also offers servo-hydraulic and BMT65 driven-tool turrets, whose travel tables differ from the five-station version. Confirm the turret and corresponding machining envelope before selecting tooling. Include part mass, fixture mass, clamping diameter, center of gravity and loading method in the RFQ; the reviewed table does not establish a maximum allowable workpiece mass.
Are the larger 550 / 700 mm travels standard?
Those values belong to the alternative turret tables. This page uses 445 / 650 mm for the five-station configuration.
