PHISONG M400

PHISONG M400 is a centerless grinding machine for through-feed and plunge work over a published 5–200 mm diameter range. It uses a 400 mm-wide grinding wheel and a matching-width regulating wheel. This wider-wheel arrangement differs substantially from the smaller M1080B cataloged by the same builder and requires its own support, dressing and loading plan.

The grinding wheel is 600 × 400 × 305 mm and runs at 1100 rpm; the regulating wheel is 350 × 400 × 203 mm with an adjustable 10–200 rpm range. Separate motors are rated at 30 kW and 3 kW respectively. The manufacturer describes double-supported wheel structures and linear guides for the reciprocating dressing mechanisms.

The specification lists 200 L/min coolant flow and an approximate 9000 kg machine weight. The stated 0.001 mm minimum main-feed increment describes the commanded feed step, not an independently demonstrated part tolerance. For selection, provide part diameter, length, shoulders, material hardness, stock allowance and throughput target, then agree the wheel, workrest, filtration and trial-grinding acceptance criteria.

Does the 0.001 mm feed increment guarantee micron accuracy?

No. It is a feed-setting value. Finished-part size, form and surface finish require an agreed process and acceptance test.
