B0385L-III is the 38 mm maximum-machinable-diameter reference described with an adjustable collet for short workpieces. The manufacturer discusses shorter remnant and an arrangement that does not require large-diameter ground bar stock. Ask it to define accepted bar tolerance, straightness and surface condition for your material; the description does not establish compatibility with arbitrary stock.

The table lists 31 total tools, 6000 rpm main and 7000 rpm back spindle. The L suffix is not a numerical long-stroke specification. Request the supported part length, usable gripping engagement, guide/support arrangement and pull-out/cutoff sequence from the offered revision. Short-part stock efficiency must be measured with the actual remnant and good-part yield.

Main and back motor pairs are 7.5/11 and 3.7/5.5 kW, with duty labels absent from the reviewed table. Confirm the spindle curve and included rear tooling separately. The shared headline figures with B0385-III do not transfer every attachment or workholding option.
