Tsugami B038M

B038M is a 38 mm maximum-machinable-diameter automatic-lathe reference directed at complex bar work with a milling-tool package. The manufacturer describes a tool spindle up to 20000 rpm and dual-contact CAPTO C4 holders. That milling-tool spindle is separate from the main and back turning spindles, each listed at 200–7000 rpm.

The description gives a 40-tool magazine while the specification table gives 52 total tools. Keep those counts separate and request a usable pocket/holder map with cutter diameter, mass, length and adjacent clearance. Complex machining from bar is a process proposition; the complete transfer and finished part still need proving with your datum and tolerance requirements.

Main and back motor entries are each 5.5/3.7 kW in the published order, with no duty labels in the reviewed table. Do not reverse the entries or substitute the 7.5/11 kW pair from B038T. Ask for main, back and milling-spindle torque/duty curves, tool-change clearance and the exact control/holder package on the offered revision.

Trial a part with the critical milled feature and second-grip datum using the complete CAPTO holder assemblies. Inspect after release, include burrs and grip marks, and record tool change, transfer, measurement and recovery separately from cutting. Published body dimensions are 2930 × 2000 × 2160 mm and mass 7100 kg; additional feeder, conveyor, door and service space needs the delivered layout. Agree CAM/postprocessor, operator training and parameter/programme backup responsibilities.
