Tsugami SS207

SS207 is the 20 mm maximum-machinable-diameter reference with B-axis live tools. The manufacturer describes NC-indexed angled tooling and simultaneous four-axis machining with CAD/CAM; it is not described as simultaneous five-axis machining. Identify the angled hole or milled feature, approach direction, depth and adjacent shoulders, then ask for the proposed complete holder and collision review.

Main and back spindles are each listed at 200–10000 rpm, with 35 total tools. The back-tool-post Y axis can support concurrent front/back work, subject to the actual tool positions and synchronisation. Plan the transfer grip and datum relationship alongside the angled operation. Tool count and available axes do not by themselves prove that all desired operations fit or can overlap.

The direct-drive rotary guide bushing is optional. Agree guide/support arrangement, bar diameter tolerance and straightness, feeder and supported part length for the delivered configuration. Rapid traverse is 32 m/min except X1/Y1 at 24 and Y2 at 15; these figures do not establish a production cycle. The main motor pair is 2.2/3.7 kW without duty labels in the reviewed table, so request rating conditions and the spindle curve.

Use a sample with the critical angled feature and front-to-back datum. Inspect after transfer and release, record cutting and handling time separately and include controlled-stop restart and worn-tool recovery. Body dimensions are 2110 × 1200 × 1885 mm and mass 3300 kg; feeder, conveyor and maintenance clearances need the actual installation layout. The original model image and internal tool-zone photograph remain configuration references, not acceptance evidence.
