VM1780S has a 1,700 × 800 mm table, 1,500 kg maximum table load and 1,500 / 800 / 700 mm travel. It extends X over VM1580S and supports a higher listed total table load while Y/Z stay unchanged. A longer part still needs clamps, tool access and all cutting positions checked against the shorter X stroke.
The column lists a 6,000 rpm belt spindle, No.50 taper/BT50 holders and oil cooling, with 24 tools and Φ110 / 350 mm / 15 kg tool limits. Nose-to-table range is 150–850 mm and column distance 900 mm. Confirm the full holder/magazine and coolant build for the difficult operations.
The S rapid values are 24/24/20 m/min, not the H branch’s 30/30/24. Ask for the time duties of 15/18.5 kW and low-speed cutting torque. Use a representative loaded fixture with the longest/heaviest tools, and agree released-part geometry, surface inspection and complete accepted-part cycle boundaries.
